Accident is describing the deprivations of this area: General Secretary Pakistan People’s Party Central Punjab

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party Central Punjab General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza has said on Tuesday that if local government institutions were present in Punjab, the real culprits of the Kahna School accident could have been brought to justice.

Lahore: General Secretary Pakistan People’s Party Central Punjab Syed Hassan Murtaza is addressing a press conference at People’s Secretariat Model Town.

The accidental deaths of children have occurred in Lahore, which is called the most developed city in the world. This accident is describing the deprivations of this area. If there were representatives, there would have been inquiries after the accident. Who will question the officers? He sarcastically said that if this accident had happened in Sindh, the nation would have reached some conclusion.

I share the grief of the affected families over the accidental death of 14 innocent children in the Kahna School accident. He was addressing a press conference at the People’s Secretariat Model Town along with party leaders Usman Malik, Mian Ayub, Chaudhry Akhtar, Rubina Shaheen Wattoo, Ayesha Nawaz Chaudhry. On this occasion, Dr. Khayyam Hafeez, Rao Babar Jamil Malik, Imran Khokhar, Faiza Malik Zeeshan Shami was also present.

Hassan Murtaza said that the PPP expresses concern over this mindset, the government should immediately hold local body elections, we will go to the Punjab local body elections with reservations. He clarified that where the PPP government is, local bodies are there, we cannot move forward without paying attention to basic democracy.

The General Secretary of the People’s Party Central Punjab said that the PML-N is sad that if local bodies are formed in Punjab, their pictures will not be able to be taken, sometimes, the Act of 2021 and 2025 is made. This is the first delimitation in which the Patwari circles have been broken, they are doing all this to win over their people.

Hassan Murtaza said that power keeps coming and going. Where are Shaddad and Nimrod today? The rulers are destroying the system to please a few favorites, does the country run in such a way that if someone speaks, they blow it up, it is because of your great kindness that the apple has been chopped and the turban has been removed, I salute Rana Aftab and the Speaker of the Punjab Assembly.

He mentioned the Anti-Addicts Bill and said that it is not known how many cases are being filed against each political leader. Who will be punished? Based on the cases, this punishment can be imposed on anyone tomorrow. Which punishments are they applying? The nation is already suffering from the punishment of poverty and unemployment.

Today, government officials have become patwaris and secretaries of the government. First, punishment will be given, then our trial will be held. Perfect justice. They are making laws that are contrary to the constitution under Article 4 and now the government says that they will make this law again. Hassan Murtaza said that I am grateful to everyone, including parliamentarians, speakers, and civil society.

Hassan Murtaza further said that we are their allies, whose punishment we have to face in the upcoming elections. If we can go to the voters with respect, then leave them. The People’s Party rejects such laws and will not leave the people alone.

He said For God’s sake, give relief to the people before they stop their voice. In response to media questions, Hassan Murtaza said that this law will come again. It is not just a bill but a mindset. The PML-N has always ruled through bureaucracy and intimidation. He says that the rulers have made it easy for us to die and ride motorcycles.

We have always extended public relief in the budget. He said that today exports have ended, industry is closed, only the coffers of a few families are being filled. In response to a question on the situation in Azad Kashmir, he said that the PPP believes in negotiations. Most of the demands of the Azad Kashmir Action Committee have been accepted.
