CHINIOT: National Resilience Day was observed under the auspices of Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 Chiniot, in accordance with the directives of Dr. Rizwan Naseer (Sitara-e-Imtiaz), Secretary of the Emergency Services Department.

On this occasion, awareness was raised among the public and students regarding protection against natural disasters, preparedness, and effective response to emergencies.

An awareness walk, led by District Emergency Officer Engineer Muhammad Imran Bhatta, was organized starting from the Rescue 1122 Central Station in Chiniot, with participation from rescue officers, personnel, and other staff.

In this connection, awareness seminars were also held at various educational institutions in Chiniot, Lalian Tehsil, and Bhowana Tehsil, where students were educated about natural disasters, earthquakes, emergency situations, first aid, and safety measures.

Rescue experts briefed students on the importance of immediate and correct responses during emergencies, safe evacuation procedures, and first aid.

Speaking on the occasion, District Emergency Officer Engineer Muhammad Imran Bhatta remarked that National Resilience Day highlights the importance of identifying risks associated with natural disasters, ensuring preparedness, and training the public.

Paying tribute to those who lost their lives in the October 8, 2005 earthquake, he stated that it is essential for every citizen to receive training in basic first aid and emergency response to ensure a safe society.

The Rescue 1122 Community Safety Wing is providing training in first aid, fire safety, and disaster management to the general public, educational institutions, and industrial units. Only a trained community can play an effective role in minimizing the loss of life and property during any emergency situation.
