CHINIOT: Additional Deputy Commissioners Wasiq Abbas Harl and Madam Ghazala Yaseen, accompanied by SP Investigation Muhammad Usman Malik and a Pakistan Army officer, presided over a meeting of the District Coordination Committee.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioners, officers from relevant departments and security agencies, as well as representatives from Customs, Excise, Narcotics, Industries, Civil Defense, RTA, Traffic Police, and Highway Police.
During the session, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Wasiq Abbas Harl briefed the attendees on various matters, including ongoing district beautification and development projects, price control, measures against begging and encroachments, traffic management, public amenities, the Safe City Project, action against illegal hoardings, smuggling, the sale of substandard petrol and LPG, and electricity theft, as well as the overall law and order and security situation.
Officials directed all departments to further improve their performance and strengthen inter-departmental coordination. A consensus was reached to adopt a joint strategy for resolving civic issues, and the need for departments to play an active role in accelerating and enhancing public relief measures was emphasized.
The Pakistan Army officer commended the district administration’s overall performance, noting that improved coordination is ensuring the successful achievement of targets.
