Pakistan Urgently Needs Leaders Like Liaquat Ali Khan:Akhtar Dar

LAHORE: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Nazriyati (PTI-N), Akhtar Iqbal Dar expresses his views about Shaheed Liaqat Ali Khan

LAHORE: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Nazriyati (PTI-N), Akhtar Iqbal Dar, has stated that Pakistan is in dire need of principled, self-respecting, and honest leadership akin to its first Prime Minister, Shaheed Liaquat Ali Khan.

In a recent statement, Dar paid rich tribute to Liaquat Ali Khan, describing him as a patriot of unwavering integrity who left behind billions of rupees worth of properties in India during partition without claiming any evacuee trust properties in Pakistan in return.

He commended how efficiently the late leader laid the administrative foundations of the newborn state, established key governmental institutions, and formulated vital national policies.

Highlighting the stark contrast between historical leadership and contemporary politics, Dar remarked that Liaquat Ali Khan’s lifestyle teaches a powerful lesson in putting national and public responsibilities above personal gains.

In contrast, he criticized current politicians for plundering the national treasury through protocol, heavy borrowings, luxury spending, discretionary funds, and rampant corruption, which he warned has pushed the state to the brink of ruin.

Concluding his message, the PTI-N chairman urged the youth to study and emulate the simple yet principled life of Liaquat Ali Khan, emphasizing that the survival, progress, and ultimate success of Pakistan lie in following such a path.
