CHINIOT: Two people were killed and 11 people were injured in two different traffic accidents that occurred on Jhang Road in Chiniot district.
Rescue 1122 rescue teams took timely action and handed over the bodies of the deceased to their heirs, while all the injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital after providing first aid.
First accident: Shahzour Dala and rickshaw collided near Mahwala pump, 2 killed, 6 injured, According to Rescue 1122 Chiniot, a head-on collision occurred between Shahzour Dala and rickshaw near Mahwala pump on Jhang Road.
According to initial reports, Shahzour Dala was coming from Chiniot to Bhowana while the rickshaw was coming from Bhowana to Chiniot when the two vehicles collided, resulting in the deaths of two people and injuries to six others.
The deceased were identified as Ahmad Yar, son of Suleman, aged 45, a resident of Jamiaabad, Chiniot, and rickshaw driver Muhammad Arif, son of Ghulam Muhammad, aged 65, a resident of Jamiaabad, Chiniot.
The injured in the accident were Haider Ali, son of Azmatullah, aged 18, a resident of Hafizabad, Mazda driver; Qasim Ali, son of Bashir Ahmed, aged 32; Kazim Ali, son of Qasim Ali, aged 12, both residents of Hafizabad; Idrees, son of Azmat Ali, aged 30, a resident of Faisalabad; Zakir son of Ahmed Ali, aged 40, and Sanaullah son of Noor Muhammad, aged 28, both residents of Jamiaabad, Chiniot.
Rescue 1122 teams provided medical assistance to the injured and shifted them to the hospital using 3 ambulances and a motorbike, while the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their heirs after necessary action. Second accident: Collision between two rickshaws near Mathuruma stop, 5 people injured.
The second traffic accident took place on Jhang Road near Mathuruma stop, where according to initial reports, 5 people including the rickshaw driver were injured as a result of a collision between two rickshaws.
The rescue team of Rescue 1122 Chiniot reached the accident site as soon as the information was received and started rescue operations.
The injured include Noor Muhammad son of Barkhor, aged 50; Azhar son of Manzoor, aged 35, resident of Jani Shah; Kausar Bibi, wife of Nawaz, aged 32, resident of Bukhari; Allah Joya son of Allah Ditta, aged 37, resident of Mouza Sadde; and Abdul Hafeez son of Zafar, aged 14, resident of Muhammadi Sharif.
Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured and shifted them to the District Headquarters Hospital. Rescue 1122 Chiniot carried out immediate relief operations in both the accidents.
