Peace and post-conflict reconstruction will also feature on the agenda for the first time. Participants will discuss how investment can support recovery in fragile and conflict-affected economies and help move resources from emergency relief towards long-term development.

The forum will also explore emerging investment opportunities in the space economy and cultural industries, including tourism, arts and heritage.

Heads of several international and regional organizations are expected to participate, including the World Trade Organization, UN Tourism, the United Nations Population Fund and the International Telecommunication Union.

UN agencies and other international organizations will co-organize sessions linking investment with trade, industry, culture, space and sustainable development.

The programme will also include the Investment Promotion Awards on October 25 and the ninth Women in Business Awards and Global Founders Fellowship announcements on October 26.UNCTAD, the United Nations body responsible for trade and development, supports developing countries through research, technical assistance and international policy dialogue.
