QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said that awareness, early checks and access to treatment are key to fighting breast cancer. He said protecting women’s health is a shared duty of the government and society.

In a message from the Chief Minister’s Secretariat for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, he said finding the disease early greatly improves the chances of successful treatment. He urged women to take care of their health and ask qualified doctors for advice instead of ignoring unusual changes or symptoms.

Bugti said awareness campaigns can help reduce fear, false beliefs and shame linked to breast cancer. These efforts can help women talk openly about their health and seek medical advice without delay.

He pointed to the difficulties faced by women in remote parts of the province and said breast cancer information, testing and treatment should be made more widely available across Balochistan. Women in far-off areas should have the same chances to find the disease early and receive proper care.

Bugti also stressed the need to support women with breast cancer. Patients should receive kindness and help from their families and communities instead of facing fear or loneliness.

He urged families, health workers, schools and community groups to help raise awareness and support patients.

He said awareness, early checks and access to treatment give women hope and a better future. Working together, he added, can strengthen the fight against breast cancer, save lives and improve women’s health across the province.
