LAHORE: The Lahore Ladies Club, in collaboration with the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WCCI) and the Grafts Foundation, hosted a high-profile event focused on bridging the gender digital divide and fostering entrepreneurship among women.

The event, themed “Empower Her: Digitalization for Women Economic Empowerment,” brought together prominent women entrepreneurs, tech experts, and community leaders to discuss the transformative power of digital tools in modern business.
Addressing the ceremony as the keynote speaker, WCCI President Falakhat Imran emphasized that digital literacy is no longer an option but a necessity for women striving for financial independence.
“Digitalization is the ultimate equalizer. By equipping our women with digital skills, we are not just giving them access to local markets, but opening doors to the global economy from the comfort of their homes,” she stated.
President Imran highlighted that the Chamber is actively working on initiatives to provide training in e-commerce, digital marketing, and financial technology (FinTech) to help women-led businesses scale effectively.
Speakers praised the joint initiative by the Lahore Ladies Club, WCCI, and the Grafts Foundation, noting that such partnerships are vital for creating a robust support ecosystem for female artisans and entrepreneurs.
The Grafts Foundation highlighted how traditional crafts can be modernized and marketed globally using digital platforms, ensuring fair wages and recognition for rural and urban craftswomen.
Panelists discussed the importance of digital banking and mobile wallets in making financial management accessible and secure for women entrepreneurs.
The ceremony concluded with a commitment from the organizing bodies to launch a series of practical workshops aimed at training women in digital business tools, ensuring that the momentum generated by the event translates into tangible economic progress.
