Lahore: President and Secretary Tehreek-e-Insaf Kisan Wing Punjab Muhammad Ijaz Shafi are doing conference at Lahore Press Club

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Kisan Wing Punjab General Secretary Muhammad Ijaz Shafi said on Monday that the current government has failed to provide relief to the farmers. If you look at inflation, it is touching the sky.

Ijaz Shafi told in conference that the prices of petrol, electricity and other daily necessities are out of control. The poor are sinking into the swamp of the land. The Form 47 government has handed over the poor farmers to the mafia and middlemen so that the daily blood of the poor farmers can be sucked.

General Secretary Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Kisan Wing Punjab Ijaz Shafi further said that the paramilitary force has made the lives of farmers miserable. An attempt is being made to meet the target of 1 million tons of wheat by entering the houses of farmers. But despite this, one hundred thousand tons of wheat could be collected.

Secretary Ijaz added that the government had made a policy of purchasing 1 million tons from 3 million tons of wheat, but the farmers refused to give wheat, due to which the target of wheat is not being met today by the fake government.

He further said that if you look at agricultural equipment, taxes have been imposed on it. The government is demanding that the imposed taxes be abolished.

Ijaz Shafi said that the government is thinking of importing wheat and sugar. However, Punjab is an agricultural province. If a policy is not made in favor of farmers, there is a risk of famine in the country. The government should improve the policy and provide relief to the poor people due to high prices.

The President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Kisan Wing Punjab also expressed his views in the press conference.
