Bangladeshi Delegation Visits Murre to Explore Tourism Potential

MURREE / PATRIATA: A high-level delegation of senior government officials from Bangladesh visited the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) facilities in Murree and Patriata. The primary objective of the visit was to review the ongoing development projects, modern amenities, and initiatives aimed at promoting tourism in the Punjab province.

The honorable delegates were given a special sightseeing tour to the Patriata Resort aboard the TDCP’s signature Open-Deck Tourist Bus. A professional tourist guide accompanied the delegation, providing comprehensive briefings on Murree’s natural beauty, historic landmarks, and the region’s vast tourism potential along the route.

Upon their arrival at Patriata, the delegation was warmly received by the TDCP General Manager of Operations (GM Ops) and the Deputy General Manager North (DGM North), who presented bouquets to the distinguished guests.

During the visit, the delegation experienced the region’s premier attractions and evaluated the infrastructure firsthand:

  • Patriata Chairlift Ride: The members thoroughly enjoyed the famous chairlift ride, highly praising the breathtaking natural scenery and the quality of tourist facilities available.
  • TDCP Patriata Huts: The guests were transported via golf carts to the TDCP Patriata Huts, where they inspected the premium residential and lodging accommodations.
  • Kotli Sattiyan Resort: The delegation also toured the newly developed, modern tourist resort located in Kotli Sattiyan to assess its features.

During the tour, official briefings were conducted to highlight the modernization of the tourism sector in Murree and its surrounding areas.Department officials shed light on the Punjab government’s strategic vision, focusing on:

  • Infrastructure Development: Upgrading roads, transport, and accessibility.
  • Modern Amenities: Providing state-of-the-art facilities for local and international tourists.
  • Future Projects: Upcoming mega-projects designed to open new avenues for eco-tourism.

Souvenirs and Token of Appreciation At the conclusion of the visit, commemorative souvenirs were presented to the esteemed guests on behalf of the Secretary of Tourism and the Managing Director (MD) of TDCP, Government of Punjab.

The Bangladeshi delegation expressed their deep appreciation for the Government of Punjab and the Tourism Department’s relentless efforts in developing new tourist destinations, ensuring modern facilities, and creating sustainable opportunities within the tourism sector.
