Central Information Secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf South Punjab Barrister Sara Ali Syed on Sunday paid glowing tribute to the late Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi (Khamis) on his death anniversary.
She said that the Nawab of Bahawalpur is a luminous star in the history of Islam and the Pakistan Movement, whose sacrifices without a doubt made the dream of Pakistan’s independence and stability possible.
Nawab Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi supported the nascent state of Pakistan at a time when the country was facing economic and administrative challenges. He unwaveringly trusted the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and was the first to make the historic decision to join Pakistan.
He not only dedicated all his state resources to Pakistan’s cause but also generously provided financial support for government employees’ salaries, refugee resettlement, and strengthening the national treasury. His sacrifices are a golden chapter in history that serves as an inspiration for future generations.
She further stated that Imran Khan’s vision is a continuation of this historic thought creating an independent, proud, and welfare-oriented state. While past rulers neglected the vision of great benefactors like the Nawab of Bahawalpur, plunging the country into debt and subjugation, PTI is fighting for true independence and sovereignty of the nation.
Nawab Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi established an exemplary system of education, health, and infrastructure in Bahawalpur a model for today’s rulers. PTI is fully committed to addressing the rights deprivations of the people of South Punjab and to advancing Nawab Sahib’s populist agenda so that this region can regain its lost stature.
Barrister Sara Ali Syed emphasized that we must pledge not to let Nawab Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi’s sacrifices go in vain.
