OKARA: A devastating incident has shaken the community of Hujra Shah Muqim after a local advocate reportedly drove his vehicle into the BS Link Canal at Head Glacier in an apparent murder-suicide attempt, leaving most of his family missing.
Details of the Incident
According to local sources and eyewitnesses, Advocate Yusuf Supra arrived at the canal with his wife, daughter, and son. It is reported that he deceived his family into joining him by claiming he needed to collect money from someone in the area.
Upon reaching Head Glacier, the situation took a tragic turn.Witnesses claim Supra reversed the vehicle before accelerating at high speed directly into the deep waters of the link canal.
Local bystanders acted heroically and managed to rescue Supra’s young son as the car began to sink. Advocate Yusuf Supra, his wife, and his daughter remain missing, along with the vehicle.

Local police and Rescue 1122 teams arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported. A large-scale search and recovery operation has been launched to locate the victims and the submerged car.
