CHINIOT:A meeting of the District Anti-Smog Committee was held under the Deputy Commissioner Ayesha Rizwan to review measures taken to prevent smog and curb environmental pollution in the district.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Ghazala Yaseen; Assistant Commissioners Shaista Jabeen, Habiba Bilal, and Sheena Azam; Deputy Director (Environment) Dr. Hina Sattar; representatives from the Traffic Police and Punjab Highway Police; the Deputy Director of Agriculture; the Secretary of the DRTA; the DO (IPW); and officers from other relevant departments.
Officials provided detailed briefings on anti-smog measures, the status of environmental pollution, and actions taken by their respective departments.
The meeting also reviewed matters regarding inter-departmental cooperation for smog prevention, the monitoring of industrial and commercial activities, and the effective enforcement of environmental laws.
