BRUSSELS: European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced €3.3 billion in funding for Ukraine.
According to news agencies, von der Leyen discussed strengthening Ukraine’s defence and other issues during a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Von der Leyen said the €3.3 billion in funding would be used to purchase missiles and drones.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also confirmed that the two leaders discussed measures to further strengthen Ukraine’s defence.
