ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Friday rejected Afghanistan’s claim that a Pakistani post near Spin Boldak was destroyed and that no Afghan soldiers were killed. It called the claim false.
The ministry said Pakistani forces stopped an attack in the Gulistan area on the night of September 24–25. It claimed that 13 Afghan Taliban members were killed and several others were injured.
The ministry said videos of the clash had been shared in the media and on social media. It said the videos supported Pakistan’s account.
The ministry also accused Afghanistan’s defence ministry of spreading false information.
“Truth prevails over falsehood,” it said.
