LAHORE: The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Alisher Tukhtaev met with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to discuss matters of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, both leaders held detailed discussions aimed at strengthening the diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
Welcoming the Ambassador, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif highlighted the deep-rooted connections between the two nations. He emphasized that Pakistan and Uzbekistan share enduring historical, religious, and cultural bonds, which serve as a solid foundation for taking bilateral relations to new heights.
Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev reciprocated the sentiments, reaffirming that Uzbekistan highly values its friendly ties with Pakistan. He expressed his country’s strong desire to expand mutual cooperation across various sectors, including trade, regional connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges.
“Uzbekistan views its relationship with Pakistan with great respect, and we look forward to deepening our partnership in diverse fields,” the Uzbek Envoy stated.
