LAHORE :The People’s Party is not a drawing room party, it is and will remain a national asset. Today, Pakistan has achieved a high position in the world due to Bilawal Bhutto’s foreign achievements. I congratulate all the organizations of Central Punjab on today’s wonderful social media workshop.
These views were expressed by Pakistan People’s Party Central Punjab Information Secretary Shahzad Saeed Cheema while addressing the closing session of the Social Media Tools Workshop organized by the People’s Information Bureau in Khushab, which was hosted by Pakistan People’s Party Khushab President Malik Ali Saul Awan.
The host of the event, District President PPP Khushab Malik Ali Saul Awan, shed light on the aims and objectives of the event. In the workshop, Abdul Razak Saleemi, Ahmed Rehman Ghuman, Suhaib Mushtaq Awan, Usman Satti, Umaima Iftikhar, Zainab Qureshi, Roy Shahzad and others briefed the participants and their Answered questions.
Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of Information of 26 districts of 7 divisions of Central Punjab participated in the workshop. On this occasion, Fateha Khawani was also offered for the sister of PPP Sargodha Divisional President Tasneem Qureshi. District Secretary Information Akbar Bhatti performed the duties of stage secretary in the ceremony.
Addressing the workshop, the chief guest Shahzad Saeed Cheema said that when we left the common man, his problems and a little politics, our graph went down. He said that political coordination cannot be done without hard work and commitment. Without believing in ourselves, we cannot make the PPP successful in Punjab.
In the ceremony, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal and Gujranwala divisions supported the next workshop. Host Malik Ali Saul Awan, while addressing, said that the youth did not see the heat or the long journey, the people of Khushab are grateful to him, Javeria Zafar Ahier said that he did not adopt a defensive approach in politics. Rather, the future is being predicted.
He said that creating a narrative is not difficult, but the one giving the narrative is more important, for which we will have to run a trend every night from the center to the ward. The People’s Party will have to become a party that respects its workers and communicates with its officials.
Deputy Secretary Ahmed Rehman Ghuman, representing Lahore Division, clarified that every word of our chairman can become the party’s narrative. We will have to create a party narrative by highlighting public issues. In 2011, we had only 12 and in Punjab, including me, we had 4 Twitter accounts.
He said that people like Zainab Qureshi, Ahsan Rizvi, and Umaima Iftikhar have become the hallmark of the People’s Party today. Ahmed Ghuman emphasized that the party does not have content writers. There is a need to increase their number, establish a rapid response team in Punjab, and further improve the media coordination of the People’s Party.
He clarified that the 2018 election was 40 percent, 2024 was 80 percent, while 2029 will be fought 100 percent on social media. In today’s era, Twitter space is as important as the nightly current affairs program. Abdul Razak Saleemi said that print media news is more reliable than other media.
Roy Rashid said that Facebook is considered a social media tool of the middle class. Maitham Abbas said that make it a habit to reply to social media posts in every case. Malik Sohaib Mushtaq Awan said that our party workers should use the speeches of Bhutto and Bibi Shaheed as content.
We have to raise our voice for BISP, wage hike and backward classes. We can move forward by focusing on party ideology on Monday, tehsil issues on Tuesday, youth issues on Wednesday, party performance on Thursday, farmers and laborers issues on Friday, party events on Saturday and party statements on Sunday.
Usman Satti said that Twitter is like a battlefield of today’s era. Twitter trends are the trigger point of any society. Without discipline, communication and cooperation, we cannot create a successful social media narrative.
Zainab Qureshi said that Twitter is a battlefield in politics where narratives are created and spread. The message of the Peoples Party is not clear, it needs to be made public. The best trends can be set between 8 and 12 midnight. Umaima Iftikhar said that policies will have to be made in favor of the youth to unite them.
Abdul Rasheed said that social media is not a charitable medium but a means of using sociology. PTI has not used social media, social media has used them.
