Discussion held on Aftab Khan’s ghazal, Irfan Pasha’s short story, and Suhail Mumtaz’s poem.
Lahore: The second meeting of Halqa Arbab-e-Zauq was held by the Ayub Nadeem. In the session, Aftab Khan presented a ghazal, Irfan Pasha presented his short story titled “Gyan,” while Suhail Mumtaz presented a poem titled “Strait of Hormuz, Narrow Pass, and Quraysh” for critical discussion.
After hearing the opinions of the participants, the president termed Aftab Khan’s ghazal satisfactory, described Irfan Pasha’s short story as impressive and layered, and remarked about Suhail Mumtaz that he had appreciated his poems earlier as well, and that this too was a fine poem.
More than 80 ladies and gentlemen attended the session. At the conclusion of the meeting, the president also recited his own poetry and received great applause.
